Job Summary:

The Service Advisor plays a critical role in defining service processes, standard operating procedures and ensuring that AmeriGas service organization is embracing data and technology based continuous improvement. They are a key resource in ensuring that internal and external service providers operate the "AmeriGas Way". They will do this through the engagement in the design and deployment of service solutions, engaging with field and CES personnel on improvement opportunities and directly as a resource for Service Coordinators, Operations Coordinators, AM/OMs, and Service Technicians on the job through video-conferencing, test and post implementation quality review.

The Service Advisor supports the CES and Field Operations. They will perform peer review of service processes and spot reviews of completed service work to ensure processes are being followed. Works closely with Service Coordinators, Operations Coordinators, Area/Operations Managers, and Service Technicians to ensure they are fully up to date with 2.0 Service Processes and Procedures. The Service Advisor has a strong connection to the Safety organization and Central Services doing service scheduling.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain business profitability to ensure quality work practices of the Service Department,
  • Audit 2.0 Service Processes and spot check Service eforms regularly. This will assist with quality, control, accuracy, and employee development.
  • Assist with implementing Service Metric goals for CES and Field Service Teams
  • Responsible for the support of utilization and benchmark metrics to serve customer needs and make sure all work is completed in a professional and profitable manner.
  • Support AmeriGas's safe environment with keeping the employees and customers best interest in mind at all times.
  • Support CES and Field Service Teams with metric/process improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical process and training support for CES/Service Coordinators and Field Service Teams, as necessary.
  • Act as an SME for the CES/Service Coordinators and Field Service Teams for 2.0 Service Processes and best practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Propane Product, Installation and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Company Operating Procedures
  • CTEP Certified
  • Preferably OPS Qualified

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • General Propane experience
