Join us to change and evolve Wells Fargo’s consumer digital presence. As Product Design Lead, Visual Systems, you are a designer designing for designers. You help create the beautiful visual design solutions for hundreds of designers to use. This enables our design colleagues to solve customer problems simply, efficiently and delightfully.

  • Create elegant, scalable flows, patterns and components that work across multiple platforms and solve for both simple and complex use cases. Your designs will align to the larger consumer design system, and continue to evolve it in a modern direction, aligned with our brand standards.
  • Extend our usage guidelines with full range of icons, user interface components, patterns, example flows, microinteractions, and prototypes; create and populate an interactive style guide framework that is comprehensive and scalable.
  • Work with our product design, interaction design, content, research and development colleagues to ensure designs meet user expectations and are implemented correctly, or identify that they need to standards need to change.
  • Evaluate product designs and perform heuristic analysis of experiences to determine patterns informing design directions.
  • Lead design efforts to build out larger bodies of design system work.
  • Leading efforts creating and communicating design system toolkits for use across multiple digital organizations
  • Creating and consulting on component specs for use as part of our standard systems
  • Providing leadership to teams across organizations on component system implementation
  • Leading design efforts for a scrum team or value stream

This Position will work remotely until COVID restrictions are lifted

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting demonstrated through work or military experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the updated Wells Fargo Brand design system; Experience in Wells Fargo Digital platforms.
  • 6+ years’ experience in digital product design, with excellent visual and interaction design and prototyping skills for mobile, digital desktop, and other devices.
  • Demonstrated expertise creating and advancing design systems for native mobile and digital desktop  environments, including microinteractions, motion and prototyping. Proven experience with systematic development and documentation of component systems for both internal and external (vendor) use.  
  • Demonstrated ability to create visual consistency of design, look and feel, style guides, and production across UI assets. Visually / graphically fluent with highly creative, brand building experience. Strong attention to detail.
  • Expert-level facility with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud. 
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills in showcasing and discussing designs, including demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with designers and with product and technical partners. 
  • Excellent client facing skills, with an ability to discuss, listen, defend and persuade, presenting strong principles and rationale.  
  • Demonstrated ability to drive to well formed design decisions.  
  • Demonstrated strong partnerships on co-creation with developers as part of a design system program.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and work collaboratively in an agile environment. 
  • Ability to lead or co-lead overall scrum team design efforts. 
  • Experience conceptualizing, developing and refining design assets for research programs, including usability and multivariate tests, with an ability to interpret findings and recommendations into new designs.
  • Experience working on customer-facing designs for consumer, commerce, and financial services environments.
