The API Engineer will work on a variety of initiatives using emerging technologies as the needs of Healthcare rapidly evolve. As an engineer working on the Foundry team, you’ll partner with business and technology teams to architect and deliver new features and applications in a fast paced environment.

You will be involved in rapidly prototyping and delivering innovative new mobile and web solutions for a large-scale health insurance company solving health care issues for our members with digital solutions. We are looking for a highly skilled API and Backend Developer to collaborate with a team of developers and UX designers to develop, integrate, and prove the capabilities of new technologies and vendor solutions


  • Collaborate with a team of developers and designers to create applications to run on multiple platforms
  • Leads innovative efforts by balancing technical feasibility with business requirements
  • Design the data storage, transformation, and presentation layer for applications
  • Translate the business stakeholder’s technical requirements into code

The preferred locations for this position are IN, GA, VA, OH, CA and IL (but other locations will be considered).


Minimum Requirements: Requires an BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training and 7 or more years related experience; multi platform experience, and expert level experience with business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of strong real time experience in architecting mobile and web applications. The ideal candidate is an advanced developer who can work in an innovative and self-driven environment.

  • 5 years of strong, real time experience in developing APIs and backend databases like Mongo db, mysql, nosql tools and cloud concepts in AWS , Azure, GCP etc.

  • Experience working with business stakeholders to map end-to-end architecture of complex healthcare applications

  • Experience with GraphQL, REST API integration and other enterprise solutions like Adobe Analytics.

  • Expertise in Architecture, Design, Development, Troubleshooting, Test Automation and Performance Tuning and Benchmarking of complex enterprise systems.

  • Experience in developing enterprise level responsive web pages or mobile applications.

  • Be flexible and ready to take challenging tasks and provide solutions with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Background in healthcare technology is a plus
