Job Summary

 

The Data Visualization (Tableau) & Reporting  Associate Manager will be a team leader responsible for the accurate, consistent, and timely reporting of enterprise financial and operational results. The manager will ensure report integrity by implementing systematic improvements that automate, streamline, and modernize the reporting, data visualization, and business intelligence processes in order to facilitate the communication of one version of the truth across the enterprise.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and take accountability for daily activities of a team responsible for building financial and/or operational reporting and high complexity interactive infographic dashboards
  • Set performance goals for the team, link to individual performance plans, and regularly track performance to goals with direct reports
  • Influence leadership and decision-makers within the enterprise, to identify and build high-value products, by leveraging strategic and diplomatic relationship building skills
  • Independently design, build, and coach team on building high complexity financial and/or operational reports
  • Independently design, build, and coach team on building and supporting high complexity interactive infographic dashboards using BI software (Tableau & Power BI)
  • Ideate and drive implementation of creative reporting and data visualization concepts to gain efficiencies, best depict information, and craft action plans to improve overall business processes
  • Manage partnerships with project leads, business partner leads, and cross-functional teams, to ensure complete post-implementation validation and user acceptance testing
  • Lead cross-functional leadership teams, including both business and technology, to collaborate in the design, build, and ongoing support of recurring reports and dashboards
  • Cross-train tenured and/or high potential individual contributors and drive succession planning

Preferred Qualifications

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • 5+ years of Data Reporting and Analysis experience

Functional Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team through complex product design and implementation, including multiple data technology sources and integration points
  • Ability to lead people, including coaching on career development, performance and compensation management, and addressing disciplinary concerns with the assistance of upper-level leadership
  • Advanced knowledge of technical tools and techniques needed for information delivery, using a variety of data reporting and visualization software 
  • Advanced technical knowledge with data management processes (i.e.; data flow within systems, data mapping, meta data, etc.) and/or experience with integrating data from multiple sources, including relational databases, unstructured data, and/or other enterprise data stores
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data reporting and business knowledge (financial skills, follow the numbers, data and metric definitions including high complexity formulas)
  • Advanced proficiency in querying, compiling, analyzing, and integrating information from different sources to make data informative (intermediate SQL proficiency)
  • Advanced ability to focus on attention to details while utilizing systemic thinking to ideate, whether in a technical realm or with workflow processes and demand/capacity
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to lead and cross-collaborate effectively in a virtual team environment
  • Highly effective time management and organization skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft tool suite

 

Compensation Data

The salary range for this position is $103,300 - $115,000. Offer will be based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
