Our Repairs Technicians play an integral role in servicing our high fidelity human patient simulators. Reporting directly to the Repairs Department Manager, this position participates in the maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs, of our simulators according to product specifications and company standards. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Inspects, diagnoses and repairs most models of HI-FI simulators using light hand or power tools such as wire strippers and crimpers, soldering and micro welding tools, small wrenches and electrical testing devices like volt/ohm meters, oscilloscopes, variable power supplies, OSat meters, blood pressure cuffs, defibrillators. 
  •  Follows schematics, drawings, diagrams, samples, or written or verbal instructions. 
  • Troubleshoot PC equipment and software problems. 
  • Assist with the administration of servers and local area networks. 
  • Completes repairs in a timely manner. 
  • Identifies and reports on repeat failure modes. 
  • Suggests design, component and/or assembly changes and improvements to the Engineering department. 
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Associate’s degree with 2-4 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience in an Engineering or Technical discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills. 
  •  Experience with and knowledge of electronics and standard test and measurement equipment. 
  • Some experience working with Windows servers. 
  • Able to follow detailed written and oral instructions. 
  • Experience in a production environment. 
  •  Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to work independently 

 PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and ladders.
  • Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 CONDITIONS: 

  • Temperature controlled indoor workshop area with moderate noise level.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. 
  • The position is based at the Gaumard Corporate Office in Miami, FL

 Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM must be willing and able to work some Saturdays or stay beyond scheduled shift if needed to meet business demands.
