The objective of CAPQA is to create and disseminate knowledge about pediatric healthcare with the goal of improving value for patients and families worldwide. This Research Data Manager II will be responsible to:
  • Lead data coordination and management for studies supported by the Center for Applied Pediatric Quality Analytics (CAPQA).
  • Assist research biostatisticians with analysis file creation and statistical analyses.
  • Support reporting for data review, quality control checks, and interim and final analysis.
  • Design, develop, and validate databases using application software suitable for supporting clinical research investigations, including large relational databases and web-based systems.
  • Provide educational support to investigators and study staff for the development and implementation of research studies. Also serve as analytical support for CAPQA projects and data management courses.
  • Provide project management support for CAPQA studies.
  • Serve as credible expert/leader for data management best practices. Collaborate with Principal Investigators and project leads to establish priorities and strategies for resource development and core goal setting.
  • Provide positive and effective customer service and contributes to teamwork within and between departments, divisions, programs and other organizations.
  • Ensure work in the CAPQA is performed in conformance with established hospital, program, federal, and state policies and procedures.
To qualify, you must have:
  • A Master’s degree in health science, public health, epidemiology, or closely related field, including course work in biostatistics or computerized analytic techniques. Additionally, 1–2 years project management experience and prior experience in supervisory/leadership role in clinical studies is required
  • The analytical skills to handle complex research data in an organized, accurate and timely manner
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in a range of data management and statistical software (e.g. SAS, SPSS, PHIS, relational clinical data management products, web based EDC)
  • The proven capability of attention to detail and accuracy on complex analytical data management
  • The knowledge of relevant federal regulations and guidelines
