A Provider Data Intake Analyst is Responsible for ensuring provider data submissions to production are complete and accurate. This impacts critical downstream functions such as provider directory, state network adequacy reports, and provider claims payments.


Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures all required data elements and documentation are present.
  • Ensures license numbers are valid and active. Adds PRPR ID to submissions.
  • Validates provider contract for TIN.
  • Verifies provider specialty against degree held.
  • Verifies provider taxonomy against taxonomy website.
  • Validate NPPES.
  • Verifies OIG/SAM/State sanctions.
  • Normalizes providers address against USPS.
  • Works with provider to obtain/clarify information when needed.
  • Reconciles/validates submission against provider source system.
  • Transfers submission to standard roster template, if applicable.
  • Submits Intake ticket (PLM, ePact, Service Form) to production team.
  • Participates in testing and developing desk levels for new technology.

Requires a

  • H.S. diploma;
  • 3-5 years’ experience with provider data; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
