Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Provides management and administration of the financial and business operations of the Department and each of its Divisions by managing and overseeing the department's accounts payables, accounts receivables, customer contracts, financial reporting, budget/planning, accounting functions, facilities, space planning, and other daily business operations. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Supports the Director, Business Operations in the direction of the fiscal operations of the Department by providing executive level details and summary of the fiscal activities and financial forecasts for the department and each of its Divisions through financial reporting of revenue, expenses, and allocations through various complex pro forma analysis. Responsible for organizing, participating, and managing the collaboration for the preparation, submission, and consolidation of the medical school four-year strategic plan, departmental region and provider P&L financial reports, annual budget, and annual surveys.Â Serves as liaison to the Joint Office of Strategic Planning and the Medical Schoolâ™s finance, budget and planning offices as requested by department leadership. Manages, processes, maintains, and provides oversight to functions related to the departmentâ™s MyDay HCM/FDM structure including but not limited to chart of accounts maintenance, work tags, non-carryforwards, projects, gifts, grants, endowments and human resources. Monitors, develops, and recommends changes to compliance with departmental and external policies, regulations and guidelines for the departmentâ™s fiscal operations. In addition, develops, implements, and monitors appropriate internal controls to safeguard the assets of the department. Directly supervises the departmentâ™s financial services team by providing management support and oversight for the departmental customer contracts, accounts receivable balances, accruals, allocations, accounts payable documents, journals, budget amendments, space survey, and ePARS tasks for accuracy, timeliness, and completion Assists and provides oversight with the tracking, reporting and maintenance of the activities for the Departmentâ™s endowment, DFA, and specific purpose funds in collaboration with the Manager, Research and Core Services to ensure accurate reporting and fund management. Preferred Qualifications Bachelorâ™s Degree in accounting, finance, or business related field. Advanced spreadsheet application skills, experience with Workday software and applications, budgeting and reporting software skills, academic/healthcare accounting, and financial management/supervision experience a plus. Masterâ™s Degree (and in addition three to five years experience). Ability to plan, organize, direct people, control resources, and think creatively. Â Excellent customer service skills, organization skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multi-task are necessary.Â Experience/knowledge with standard academic/healthcare finance and accounting practices, computers and software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Workday) and facility management preferred.Â Ability to prioritize, work, and act in an independent nature effectively with a broad range of faculty, staff, students, and medical school administration is preferred. Grade G13 Salary Range $62,000.00 - $106,000.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
