Advertised Job Summary: The Assistant Vice President of Institutional Communications works closely with the VP for Communications and serves as a key member of the Communications leadership team to support the strategic communication needs of the University of South Carolina. The AVP leads a dynamic team of creative professionals to tell the University brand story and enhance our reputation by engaging audiences across owned, earned and paid media channels. The AVP is responsible for executing those strategies through the management of multiple interdisciplinary brand teams consisting of marketing, public relations, content and design professionals. Foundational to this effort, the AVP oversees the development of strategic communications plans for academic and administrative units. Advertised Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, news media (emphasis on writing) or other related field. Ten years related experience, including at least 5 years management experience. Full/Part Time: Full Time
