Department Overview


The Enterprise Functions team supports the offshoring activities of multiple lines of business and the corporate risk management organization with their needs in current and expected demand for business process risk management. Data Management and Insights (DMI) in Enterprise Functions is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. The Data Management Solutions (DMS) organization within Data Management & Insight provides holistic and consistent data management capabilities to Wells Fargo. This includes domain management, data quality monitoring, metadata management, data lake management, and master/reference data management.

About the Role


Responsible for fulfilling Enterprise Data Governance, Regulatory and Risk Reporting Governance & Oversight (G&O) Framework, and Policy and Standards for COSO Compliance requirements across regulatory and risk reports in-scope within Report Mapping Issue Identification (RMII) Team. This may include management of a small team that consist of Wells Fargo team members and contractors.
The consultant develops and manages metric reports and dashboards for RMII team in a timely and effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and enhance dashboards and reports that present risk and regulatory report process and metadata documentation

  • Facilitate discussions to elicit requirements and changing needs for creating meaningful metrics

  • Establish and maintain processes to ensure accuracy and integrity (i.e. dashboards provide accurate end-to-end view) across all RMII

  • Collaborate and coordinate with executive and key leaders to maintain commitment to Report Mapping & Issue Identification (RMII) strategic objectives

  • Provide data insights to enable decision making and/or strategic planning

  • Leverage COSO principles, data management standards, and other skills to ensure compliance with G&O Framework, COSO, and DMP requirement/policies

  • Partner with support groups (Governance & Oversight, Data Management, Analytics, Change Management, and Technical Interpretations) to improve the control environment

  • Drive metric creation activities in alignment with department MBOs and escalate risks, as needed.



Market Skills and Certifications


Essential Qualifications

  • University degree in Business or related discipline.
  • 2+ years experience with & proficient in Tableau Server Administration and Tableau Development.

  • Well versed with SQL

  • Proficient with Python, c#, R or other scripting tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Visio, Power Point)

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: compliance, operational risk, data risk/controls valuation, audit, dashboard & metrics reporting or risk management and projects involving BASEL and BCBS239 framework implementation

  • 2+ years experience interviewing stakeholders to identify key risks and key controls

  • Experience in Data Management concepts including data governance, data domains, data lineage, metadata and data quality

  • Ability to understand business and present information in a meaningful way

  • Strong critical thinking skills with ability to credibly challenge status quo

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to independently lead small to mid-sized projects/initiatives, build collaborative workgroups and influence others

  • Ability to gather data requirements from subject matter experts

  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications

  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work in ambiguous situations

  • Experience presenting information in a manner that and enhances understanding at all levels. RWF
