At Wells Fargo, we are looking for talented people who will put our customers at the center of everything we do. We are seeking candidates who embrace diversity, equity and inclusion in a workplace where everyone feels valued and inspired.

Help us build a better Wells Fargo. It all begins with outstanding talent. It all begins with you.

The Strategy, Digital and Innovation (SDI) team forges the strategic direction of Wells Fargo, provides and manages our digital foundation and common capabilities, and transforms our business models to meet evolving customer needs and grow the company. The investments we are making will help the company create innovative digital banking experiences, and make it easier for customers to achieve their financial goals.

Are you excited by the capabilities of Figma? Do you enjoy finding efficient and powerful uses for this core design tool? Let’s talk!

The Pioneer Design Studio is seeking a Toolkit Product Designer to join our Toolkits Team supporting the Pioneer Design System. The Toolkits Team creates, evolves, and releases updated design kits for multiple audiences, including our internal Product Design Studio and application developers. These toolkits are used to concept and design customer-facing digital products for customers of the Commercial, Corporate, and Investment banks at Wells Fargo.

We are seeking a Product Designer with 5+ years of interaction and visual design experience, who also has a strong understanding of Figma, HTML, CSS, and Sketch. We are especially interested in candidates who are early adopters of Figma, as this individual will have tremendous influence on the architecture and integration of our Toolkits with multiple workstreams.

Required skills include the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear and concise visualizations, the ability to communicate complexities clearly, and an openness to independently and collaboratively find resolutions to ambiguities.

You will assume the role of collaborative lead in the ongoing maintenance of the CEO Design Kit, working closely with the Toolkits Team Lead, Pioneer Studio leadership, Brand Experience, and other contributing designers. What we publish in the Design Kits reflect decisions made in the wider workstreams of the Design System, so close collaboration with the wider experience design organization is essential for success.

You will reference detailed component specs, live coded production examples of application components, usage guidelines, feature requests for applications in Agile development, and project update reports from internationally co-located design and dev teams. You will also work with our Brand Experience partners to ensure the Design Kit visualizations adhere to evolving Design System and enterprise brand requirements.

Simply put, the Design Kit becomes the “source of truth” relied upon by teams of designers throughout the bank – so the Design Kit Lead Designer must be exceptionally detail oriented, well organized, and enjoy a steady pace of continuous iteration and improvement.

• Collaborate to define, create and maintain a complex, industry-leading user experience design toolkit in an Agile environment.

• Work autonomously as well as collaboratively with the Toolkits Team Lead and other designers to discover needs, gaps, adoption challenges, and evolution requirements.

• Collaborate with Pioneer Studio and Product Design Studio leadership and peers to plan upgrades, rollouts, and process evolutions for the use of Figma, catering to the contexts, as needed.

• Provide support and training to internal toolkit user base.

• Provide toolkit usability and improvement analyses based on best practice standards and user base feedback.

• Be involved with project road mapping for future iterations of the toolkit.

• Work closely with application design teammates to identify and document defects.
