Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary The Associate Dean and Director of Graduate Programs has responsibility for the leadership, oversight, implementation and management for all Student Affairs functions within the Graduate Program. This includes all programmatic activities from orientation to academic advising, curricular design and implementation, co-curricular development, continual improvement of academic integrity process and serves as a hearing officer, development and implementation of alumni engagement strategy as well as a myriad of other ordinary and extraordinary duties both within Olin and especially externally facing within the university and key partners. This position is a senior leadership role in Graduate Programs reporting directly to the Dean of Olin Business School. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Leads the development of Graduate Programâ™s team strategic direction, implementation and evaluation of Olin strategic plan. Develops, plans, executes and oversees academic advising, student affairs and global program opportunities available to Graduate students who are members of the Olin community (degree, second major, minor and those with any business interest). Collaborates with the Dean, program curriculum chairs and the Olin faculty on the development and implementation of all graduate program curriculum. Collaborates closely with the Weston Career Center on the design and implementation of a holistic advising strategy ensuring for alignment in order to execute on Olinâ™s strategic priorities. Chief program officer responsible for recruitment, hiring, supervision, professional development, recruitment strategy and general management functions of all Graduate Programs Student Affairs personnel. Participates in various school and university committees, task-forces and represents the Graduate programs of Olin at university wide programs and presentations. Serves as the Graduate Programs Academic Integrity Officer (AIO).   This includes leading the development and revisions of Olinâ™s Code of Academic Integrity including collaboration and education of Olin faculty to academic integrity processes and procedures. Serves as primary investigation hearing officer for all potential academic integrity matters for Graduate Programs.   Represents Olin on university wide academic integrity roundtables on a monthly basis with all other WashU integrity officers. Participates in on and off-campus admissions and recruiting events to help prospective students get to know Olin.   Works in collaboration with the director of admissions, the director of the WCC, and the program faculty directors to set the recruiting and admissions strategy for each graduate program. Preferred Qualifications Terminal degree. Curriculum design and implementation. International education experiences. Leadership in school and university wide initiatives. Incredibly sound judgement, decision making ability and high level of maturity and strategic thinking in highly sensitive and confidential situations involving students, staff, faculty, parents and university administrators. Commitment to designing and delivering excellent academic and student affairs. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary. Willingness to travel up to 30% of time both domestically and internationally. Ability to partner with faculty, corporate partners and campus partners to design and deliver major initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelorâ™s degree in higher education, business, or in a related field. Seven years of relevant experience. Grade G15 Salary Range $75,400.00 - $132,800.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
