,

  • Proactively drive supply assurance into Applied's Manufacturing facilities globally.
  • Responsible for the evaluation of vendor reliability; manages the surveying of vendors to maintain adequate working relationship.
  • Develops policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.
  • Monitors the cost, schedule and performance aspects of suppliers.
  • Coordinates purchasing activities with engineering and manufacturing departments to maintain inventories at planned levels
  • Execute sourcing strategy to meet the company's business growth and sourcing requirements.  Identify, develop, and manage effective relationship with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • Coordinate and work with quality, engineering, machining, and assembly operations to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.
  • Represents materials organization on corporate materials task force teams.  
  • Assists in supplier delivery negotiations. May negotiate contracts as necessary.  
  • Actively mediates and partners with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues for assigned product groups.
  • Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time, which may include engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain.

  • Knowledge in SAP, supplier collaboration as well as activities pertaining to purchasing processes.
