TITLE: Lead System Administrator
LOCATION: Charlotte, North Carolina
JOB SUMMARY: Support platform building, automation, and maintenance of Charter Communications eCommerce on-line ordering platforms. Lead deployment and release of new technologies, including designing, installing, configuring, maintain, and performing system integration testing of PC/Server operating systems, related utilities and hardware. Support highly complex projects and initiatives for on-line ordering applications. Maintain and design future system enhancements and scalability. Provide technical direction to staff and assist with assigning various projects. Support efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience. Serve as escalation point in the maintenance and administration computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. Drive change to improve systems and network configurations. Determine hardware and software requirements. Support applications running on platforms including JBOSS, WebLogic, and Apache Tomcat. Configure, troubleshoot and perform management of Linux Systems. Support web applications in complex network environments utilizing firewalls including Oracle ecommerce (ATG) and Omega. Administer applications on virtualized systems using Hypervisor and Containerization technology. Lead troubleshooting server problems; establish change management processes; and support web access and electronic messaging services. Develop new hardware specifications to users based on application and business needs and anticipated growth, install new servers, and maintain server infrastructure. Research, evaluate, recommend, and lead the implementation of software and hardware products. Define procedures for monitoring, evaluating, diagnosing, and establishing work plans to resolve system issues. Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex hardware, software and network problems.

EDUCATION/
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience in supporting applications running on platforms including JBOSS, WebLogic, and Apache Tomcat; configuring, troubleshooting and performing management of Linux Systems; supporting web applications in complex network environments utilizing firewalls including Oracle ecommerce (ATG) or Omega; and, administering applications on virtualized systems using Hypervisor and Containerization technology.
