Internal Audit is a provider of independent, objective assurance services delivered through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, Audit helps the company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

The Senior Auditor participates in complex and concurrent projects or audit engagements as directed by senior management and may also participate in audits generally as subject matter expert in a consulting capacity.  Principle Auditors demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge that includes technology, operational, financial, and regulatory understanding across multiple businesses and may develop knowledge in a critical subject matter area.
Specific Duties:

  • Performing audit testing components of assigned audits within multiple segments of the Audit Plan.
  • Planning and executing independent audit testing and ensures that they are timely and accurate.
  • Documenting work papers according to the standards of the Audit policy and guidance.
  • Identifying and assessing key risks and controls and developing effective test plans for engagements as assigned with limited guidance.
  • Developing business partnerships within Audit and with teams across Wells Fargo through professional communication and clear audit deliverables.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.
Area 2: $63,900   Mid: $90,000   Max: $116,000

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following audit or risk functions: covering risk identification, mitigation and management (includes audit, legal, operational risk, compliance risk, credit risk, market risk, technology risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for risk.) demonstrated through work or military experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Experience at a financial institution or accounting firm
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in, or currently in progress of obtaining, one or more of the following:  CPA, CIA, CAMS, CRCM, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation.
  • Regulatory knowledge, particularly related to risk transformation and/or enterprise risk management
  • Audit experience related to independent testing and validation responsibilities in the second line of defense.
  • Experience in reporting, audit methodology, project management, and/or audit tools.
  • Previous experience with risk management, regulatory MRA/issue validation, or issue management and resolution activities.


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
