Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Team Lead –Quality to join our team. This position is based at our Reno, NV location.

In this function you will:

+ Monitors and drives improvements in Quality to the production floor.

+ Monitors and reports site Quality High-5 Metrics.

+ Coordinates with department Leads & Supervisors on Quality issues.

+ Motivates and hold Quality employees accountable to meet performance expectations.

+ Coordinates with Production group on process requirements and customer issues.

+ Drives Corrective Action and Non-Conforming Material/MRB processes (internal, supplier/receiving, RMAs).

+ Works closely with leads and supervisors to correct issues, and follow-up on preventative and corrective actions.

+ Assists employees with Quality, technical or process issues; ex. drawings, procedures, and deviations.

+ In coordination with the site Quality manager, drives the Internal Audit team & schedule accountability.

+ Allocates / reallocates team based on needs.

+ Assures that the appropriate equipment and tools are provided, maintained and safely operated.

+ Maintains control of production and quality records to ensure material traceability.

+ Assists and trains employees in designated departments.

+ Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:

+ Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) in all Quality areas.

+ Track and sustain any/all departmental visual management tools.

+ Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

+ Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a Quality function in a manufacturing environment.

+ Fluent in English (verbal and written).

+ Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving skills.

+ Proficient in various computer/software skills (SAP/BW, MS Office, Adobe).

+ Proficient in the use of a variety of measuring equipment; squares, calipers, protractors, torque wrenches, universal testers, scanners, etc.

+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

+ Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Fluent in Spanish (verbal and written)

+ Forklift Certification

+ CPR Certification

Position Criteria:

+ Position requires physical activity; standing, lifting of 35lbs without assistance, and moving for a majority of the day

+ Requires PPE to include safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, gloves and hearing protection (as required in high noise areas)

+ Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities

+ Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team

+ Able to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision

+ Work overtime nights and weekends as needed

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

+ Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas)

+ Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity

+ Indoor and outdoor exposure to weather
