Position Summary
  • The focus of the Accounts Payable Team Lead is to provide support for Trade & Dropship related team leadership, escalations, projects, reporting and defect resolution. This will require high level competencies including team workflow management, analytics, communication, and a basic understanding of financial and accounting controls. Must understand full cycle Accounts Payable process, 2-way and 3-way match processing and AR Customer Billing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and guide workflow of team, exhibiting leadership
  • Ensures exceptions are resolved by established service level agreements.
  • Provide oversight of offshore team responsible for invoice processing and supplier inquiry resolution
  • Analyzing defect to detect patterns, and to determine root causes and implement resolution.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers. Communicatees opportunities for improvements and engages business partners in change implementation.
  • Provides management with appropriate data including summary, conclusion and recommendations
  • Understand and communicate multiple supplier processes and programs ensuring complete follow through with all customer inquiries
  • Serve as a liaison for multiple internal and external business partners to provide the highest level of customer service
  • Research transactional entries within McKesson systems and perform necessary adjustments in an effort to maintain and reduce financial exposure
  • Demonstrates subject matter expert (SME) knowledge on accounts owned, including knowledge of account, contracts, financial status, account profile and trends thus providing customer satisfaction and supplier account management

Minimum Requirements

4+ years of Accounts Payable experience, with an emphasis on exception handling and analysis reporting and/or a degree in Accounting/Finance with strong skills in analysis, communication and leadership skills

SAP, or comparable ERP experience

Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume, shared services environment

Critical Skills

Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge

Understands full cycle Accounts Payable

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Actively solicits information and resources necessary to accomplish objectives

Ability to work independently to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner

Serves as a subject matter expert

Effectively prioritizes and organizes workload ensuring goals of each cross-functional area is supported
