**Job Summary**

There are two positions available that will be filled at either the Lead Accountant or Accounting Specialist level, commensurate with the selected candidates' skills and abilities.

We are looking for a **multi-faceted accounting information systems and special projects role** serving to support Accounting initiatives across the segments, integration of new business activities into SAP or other financial accounting systems, business process innovation, and other special projects.

**Special Projects may include:**

+ Lead others in the ideation of business process improvements and implement optimal solutions that create efficiencies

+ Assess and automate controls over critical financial master data, as well as key systems/accounting controls using technology or other innovative measures

+ Support acquisition and divestiture activities, as well as be involved in system integrations

+ Support changes and enhancements to SAP and other financial accounting systems, including documenting business requirements, performing testing (integration and UAT), and support for production go-live

+ Conduct complex analysis of Accounting projects (financial accounting, systems impacts, etc.)

+ Prepare training materials and conduct training

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience**

**Lead Accountant**

7+ years of general accounting experience or 5+ years of experience working in public accounting (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience; a partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year)

**Accounting Specialist**

8+ years of general accounting experience or 6+ years of experience working in public accounting (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience; a partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year)

Must have the following:

+ Superior computer systems experience, knowledge and understanding

+ Innovative and creative mindset for solving issues and improving processes

+ Communicates and collaborates effectively with all levels across the organization; challenges status quo in an inclusive manner that considers all viewpoints

+ Possesses comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), practices and procedures

+ Strong organizational skills and demonstrated experience leading projects

+ Attention to detail and able to work through ambiguity independently

+ Strong technology and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel

+ Bachelor's in Accounting and/or related field

**Preferred**

+ CPA License

+ Bachelor's in Accounting Information Systems

+ FERC Uniform Systems of Accounts

+ SAP

+ Alteryx, Power Pivot/Power Query, etc.
