Job Description

This job entails researching developing testing and deploying mechanical solutions used for semiconductor test equipment to enable Intel's  test product roadmap.

Typical activities include:

-Designing and developing thermal or mechanical tooling systems which meets product and package requirements to enable the roadmap.

-Creating design specifications reviewing and ratifying designs designing and executing experiments and performing inspections.

-Working with suppliers and design teams to complete design manufacturing and validation the various mechanical solutions.

-Creating and executing validation and characterization plans to demonstrate the capability of the mechanical solution to meet the specifications both in a lab bench test setting.

-Completing the mechanical analysis of the validation characterization activities and summarizing the results.

-Reviewing and communicating the data results risks recommendations in technical peer reviews and in management reviews.

This is an internship and compensation will be given accordingly based on candidates education level and internship duration.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences .

Minimum requirements:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Master’s degree or a PhD degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Thermal Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ months knowledge or work relevant experience in Thermal mechanical engineering background.
