About the role

The RMX Operations Manager plays a crucial role by leading the team that produce interactive floor plans and provide annotated data and insights that power our machine learning technology. This role partners closely with product management, engineering, and other partners and provides human operational rigor required to scale our products. 

As an Operations Manager, you're responsible for running the program that produces floor plans, and that labels data. Part of this is day-to-day management of a group of annotator contingent staff, and part is working cross-functionally to improve existing production and annotation processes and tools. You will be asked to showcase excellent leadership, project management, problem solving, and communication to both internal and external partners at scale. 

Responsibilities  

  • Scale the team and processes to meet near and long term production demand  

  • Define, implement and track high-efficiency processes for producing high-quality floor plans 

  • Identify and eliminate operational waste 

  • Partner with forecasting, applied science, machine learning, product management, and engineering teams to help define technical requirements for scaling solutions 

  • Directly lead the day to day, workflows, and metrics of a team responsible for production and data labeling efforts 

  • Establish team goals and work with multiple stakeholders on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and reporting results 

  • Lead contractors/outsourced relationships to ensure targets and SLAs are met 

  • Implement a successful training regimen as we scale the team up, building out training materials, training schedules, and training success metrics 

  • Engage in strategic discussions to identify problems while measuring and improving the efficiency and quality of workflows 

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a product environment or operations role 
  • Experience with incentive schemes and structures that promote efficiency and a healthy environment for production staff 

  • Experience working independently and a track record of taking initiative 

  • Strong communication and presentation experience 

  • Experience with data labeling and annotation 

  • Experience analyzing and solving problems at scale  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with workflow systems such as Zendesk 

  • Demonstrated success steering a product through different stages of growth 

  • Experience coordinating with remote or offshore vendor teams 

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
