The Specialty Test Team is looking for an Entry Level, Flight Test Technician with good communication skills and a team centric approach. The prospective candidate shall possess a fundamental working knowledge of mechanical / electrical components and sub-systems as well as integrated systems architecture. In addition, the candidate shall demonstrate willingness to learn and grow within the Flight / Structural Test field. The selected individual must be capable of working as an individual contributor as well as part of a team. Individual will follow the instructions of Senior Technicians or Engineers, and must be able to read and interpret technical documents including drawings, schematics, sketches, procedures, technical orders etc.

Duties as follows:

Assist in the development, fabrication and assembly of mechanical and electromechanical components, sub-assemblies, systems and full scale test stands

Fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies

Maintain compliance with operational as well as Environmental Safety and Health directives

Participate in training efforts

This position requires multiple shift operations and overtime work. Individual must be able to meet and maintain the specific process certifications to support daily task assignments.

Basic Qualifications:

•    High School Diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience

•    Familiarity with Aerospace or Mechanical Test Laboratory environment

•    Familiarity with Mechanical Engineering, Assembly and Test Operations department (standard) operating procedures/policies

•    DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain special program access

•    Must be able to work from extended work platforms at elevated heights and for extended period of time

•    Must be able to lift 30 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

•    A.S. Degree/2 year technical degree or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license with 1 yrs. Structural Testing experience, set-up thru test execution

•    DoD Secret clearance, with program access
