The ACE/CORE Continuous Improvement Electric Power Systems (EPS) Business Office Focal is an experienced professional focused on working across all aspects of business processes to align and execute the ACE/CORE Operating System. This resource will lead events, support progression of CORE apprentice, and facilitate improvements.

Highlights of this position include:

  • Exposure to project management and professional facilitation skills
  • Work across the entire EPS business office:__ Aftermarket, Business Development, Contracts, Finance, Global Trade, Engineering, Human Resources, Quality, Program Management, and Supply Chain.__
  • Gain insight and contribute to how these departments interact, perform, and continuously improve.
  • Lead and facilitate workshop / Kaizen / Value Stream Mapping events
  • Progress in the journey to become an ACE/CORE expert
  • Assist in the development of tools and processes to make the progress of the organization visible to all

The areas in which the candidate will contribute to Electric Power Systems are almost limitless!__ Assignments may include opportunities across the ACE/CORE operating system:

  • Goal Alignment & Strategy (including strategic and annual planning)
  • Lean and Robust Processes (including process management & process maturity, RRCA, QCPC, 5S, and visual management)
  • Customer Satisfaction and Results (including control tower development & refinement, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and financial results)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead consulting, coaching, development, and creation of kaizen project leaders across the business to drive ACE/CORE activities in the site aligned to business and customer objectives, with a focus on Electric Power Systems (EPS) goals.__ __
  • Continuously improve ACE/CORE tools and methods and its adoption within EPS, Collins, RTX, and the industry.__ This includes improvements to ACE/CORE tools, training, best practice sharing with internal and external sites, and change management efforts for tool improvements.
  • Coordinate & conduct training in CORE tools and methods to build skill across the organization.__ Coach and develop CORE trainers for the business.__ Provides CORE training in areas such as but not limited to process management and maturity, kaizen leadership, RRCA, VSM, and change leadership.__ Support training of CMS 101, 201, and 301.
  • Develop Strategy to leverage ACE/CORE tools to successfully implement and continuously improve the EPS Collins Management System (CMS), and consult & support leaders in the development of their CORE & CMS strategy for their employees & processes
  • Consult and communicate the appropriate use of ACE/CORE tools for impactful results, including success criteria, and/or coordination with the central ACE/CORE office for additional support
  • Support the Strategy and Planning Organization in Strategic Financial Plan and Annual Planning
  • Support facilitation & execution of projects.
  • Support the use of the CORE Certification Portal and provide periodic ACE/CORE apprentice metrics
  • Support the business in CORE assessments and self-assessments to define strategic opportunities
  • Support the Quality Management System (QMS) & Compliance team in AS9100 & QMS efforts and audits


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor___s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years___ experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor___s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident ___Green Card___ holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace industry is preferred
  • Engineering Degree and/or highly technical experience is preferred
  • Proven history of planning and executing successful continuous improvement projects, kaizens, and value stream mapping events across multiple functions
  • Proficiency in numerous continuous improvement tools and methods
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and train others
