About Us

In Investment Banking Coverage we offer financial and advisory solutions that support critical strategic events in a company's evolution (e.g. an acquisition, divestiture or an IPO) and / or where our clients wish to raise funds from investors in the capital markets or loan markets to support their operations and fund growth (e.g. a bond issuance or equity raise). Our clients are both traditional corporates, financial and public sector institutions and financial sponsors (e.g. private equity and sovereign wealth funds).


Required Skills

Here's what you might expect on a typical day:
  • Financial Skills: You would utilize your strong Excel skills to develop valuations and create/analyze financial models, as well as prepare financing, comparative and pro forma analyses
  • Communication Skills: Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and other materials for clients. Have verbal and written communications with the client, internal colleagues and outside advisors.
  • Deal Management/Execution Skills: Collaborate and assist in managing the day to day execution process. You would interact with product and country teams, clients and various levels of management, while acting as an integral part of the engagement team
  • Research Skills/Sector knowledge: Enhance your strong understanding of financial markets and your sector knowledge by keeping up to date with markets and sector developments. Keep up to date on changing regulatory frameworks in relevant jurisdictions so as to better inform and develop valuations and financing structures.
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

Series 7, 63, and 79 FINRA licenses must be active within 120 days of the start date.
