The Director II Product Development is responsible for directing the development of new products and modifications of existing products across all Federal Government Solutions (FGS) lines of business.

This position can sit in any Anthem office. 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees strategy and implementation of new products and product changes/enhancements.
  • Reviews, analyzes and makes recommendations on rate actions, benefit design, and service areas for existing products.
  • Monitors product performance and the competitive environment.
  • Ensures products meet competitive and legislative needs.
  •  Establishes product development policies to guide product development.
  • Monitors product development for compliance.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BA/BS degree; 8 years of leadership/management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Excellent analytical, tactical, planning, organization, and managerial skills required.
  • Proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties required.

Preferred Skillset: 

  • MBA preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

Annual Salary Range*: $144,144 - $180,180

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
