Supervise a team of individual contributors who are manufacturing Honeywell's world class innovative products. You will leverage your manufacturing experience and skills to lead some of the world's most talented production employees. You will use your leadership abilities to contribute to driving safety, productivity, and exceptional quality in one of Honeywell  production facilities. Through collaboration with cross functional teams, you will prioritize team workload and drive continuous improvement. As a team supervisor, you will coach your team members in technical and behavioral competencies in order to deliver high impact business results.

 

Key Responsibilities

·                Supervises operations, directs daily and long-range operation activities, to include reviewing/writing/prioritizing of daily work orders.

·                Manage multiple disciplined teams responsible for safe operation in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

·                Attends daily Operations Tier 3 and Maintenance meeting and communicates to operating personnel daily guidelines orally and written to maintain effective and efficient operations.

·                Troubleshoots/solves unit operational and maintenance problems.

·                Cooperates with all site departments to meet operational objectives.

·                Monitor daily maintenance activities and drive efficiency in work completion.

·                Reviews safety and environmental practices and procedures, and safety and environmental hazards of the process materials, chemicals, and catalysts in assigned area with operating crews on specific jobs, on shutdown and start-up procedures, and on unusual operations.

·                Act as Incident Commander in accordance with National Incident Management System (NIMS)

·                Ensures that operators prepare equipment correctly and safely for maintenance, following all relevant procedures and policies. This includes work permitting and confined space entry procedures.

·                Inspects the plant with operators to maintain housekeeping standards.

·                Ensures through the operators that cleanup is done after maintenance work, and that conditions that could lead to housekeeping problems are corrected.

·                Maintains inventories and monitors usage of operating supplies, consumable safety supplies and miscellaneous supplies.

·                Monitors performance to maximize capabilities and efficiency.

·                Participates in setting objectives in turnaround and shutdown planning; generates work lists, blind lists, etc.

·                Participates extensively in managing and implementing ISO, PSM, and RC14001 guidelines and procedures.

·                Ensures compliance with PSM which includes entering incidents in MST, participating in and leading incident investigations and HAZOP studies, and both writing and editing operating manuals procedures.

·                Works with Operators in implementing team management style; develop ownership and accountability in the area owners.

·                Reviews operational data and lab analysis daily to ensure product quality and the disposition of products.

·                Develops and provides necessary operator training in operations and safety with the assistance of the Training and Safety Departments.

·                Ensuring training and development needs of operations personnel are met. (LMS and other required training) 

·                Works with the Environmental Department as required to maintain all environmental regulations.

·                Ensures environmental compliance

·                Coordinates with Human Resources on all staffing-related activities including recruiting, interviewing, selection, hiring, discipline, development, training, promotions, salary changes, leaves and terminations

·                Monitors employee situations, which require knowledge of Company policies and procedures.

·                Collaborate with Engineering in development and design and modification of all site equipment

 

YOU MUST HAVE

 

·                High School Diploma or GED

·                1-3 years of previous supervisory experience

 

WE VALUE

 

·                2 year associates degree

·                4 years industrial manufacturing experience

·                Any experience with lean manufacturing or six sigma

·                Efficient with SAP software & ERP Systems

·                Ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment

·                Conveys information with clarity and directness

·                Computer literacy

·                Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
