Job Summary

This area supports the implementation of our products involving third party technology solutions.   The area supports the presentation of products for Customers then processes that data into policies and payroll deduction files. Supports the closing of the sale as well as implementation of our products on enrollment platforms, the processing of electronic data and the service of perpetual data files throughout the year.

This role supports the operations teams within the department on a range of responsibilities for continued improvement throughout the enrollment acquisition lifecycle into ongoing inforce administration. 

Provide data and analytical support to evaluate and advance strategic and business development initiatives. Analyze internal and external data, develop business plans and track results. Actively supports Reporting and Analytical requests from all operations teams and executive inquiries. Provide operations team members, team leaders and departmental leaders reporting and data analysis for a range of necessities from Inventory Management, Performance Management with team member performance, identify improvement opportunities, and project initiatives.
 
This role also has business process improvement responsibilities. This role will work with front line and leader positions to utilize continuous improvement principles to document out current processes, problem solve around improvement opportunities, manage change control processes, identify additional opportunities, measure the success of initiatives and sustain their implementation.   
 

Key Responsibilities

⦁    Collaborates and consults closely with internal business areas, field sales distribution, implementation support, finance, compliance, underwriting, new business, customer service and IT, to effectively support operational excellence.

⦁    Create requested and strategic business reports and dashboards for various teams and divisions, including troubleshoot and fix report/data issues. 

⦁    Facilitate report requirements and consult with business owners on requests.

⦁    Maintain data sets and other tools as required

⦁    Ensure data integrity is kept and reporting is consistent.

⦁    Be a team player and a leader, comfortable operating in a high performing team culture

⦁    Support educating the business about the contents of dashboards and reports, consistently driving a data driven culture.

⦁    Comfortable with managing inventory, meeting due dates/deadlines and priority management, working with ticketing tools.

⦁    Provide on-going operational support to other areas, possibly learning new skills and practices to support business needs. 

⦁    Understand Key Performance Indicators to analyze data to identify trends, relationships and opportunities to improve processes 

⦁    Ability to learn the business areas functions and high-level processes scope to aid your analysis. 

⦁    Evaluate and summarize project(s) reports on agreed upon cadence, identifying successful completions of milestones and deliverables, change management process and any problems or issues and any follow-up action required.

⦁    Use Continuous Improvement principles, methods and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational business units.

⦁    Maintain skills in technology platforms as they evolve over time. 

Compensation Data

Compensation range for this position is $59,500 - $85,000 per year.  Offer will be made based on experience and qualifications.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience

Required:
⦁    Good oral and written communication skills required 
⦁    Consultancy and/or facilitation skills to identify customer requirements
⦁    Advance/Expert knowledge and experience of SQL, VBA and Power BI
⦁    Knowledge of reporting and data representation tools ie., Tableau, Einstein Analytics
⦁    Advanced skills in data testing, auditing, reporting and analysis
⦁    Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook) 
⦁    Proficient with macro development or other applicable tools
⦁    Team player with ability to self-manage workloads
⦁    Bachelors preferred in the Computer Science or business-related fields or equivalent working experience
⦁    Adaptable, flexible, able and willing to learn new skills to advance yourself and the business
 

Preferred but not required:
⦁    2+ years of experience in programming and business intelligence software
⦁    Working knowledge of Python
⦁    Project management skills 
⦁    SalesForce experience 
⦁    Knowledge of Agile methodology 
⦁    Knowledge of voluntary benefit enrollment processes/business
⦁    Documentation and organizational skills, detail oriented.
