JOB SUMMARY: Assists with the delivery/accuracy of enterprise IT hardware assets and the effective use of enterprise licensed software. The Asset Management Technician will assist with the lifecycle of hardware and software assets including receiving, inventory, assignment, RMA, recovery, and disposal.


  • Provide assistance with the hardware and software asset lifecycle, including receiving, inventory, assignment, RMA, recovery, and disposal.       
  • Coordinate weekly collection, delivery, and processing of inventory equipment and RMAs.         
  • Provide assistance with warehouse organization and logistics.    
  • Basic testing and troubleshooting of PC, Mac, and various computer technologies and peripherals. 
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Basic understanding of ITIL framework or service management practices regarding incidents and requests
  • Basic Microsoft Excel and Access skills.
  • Strong customer/team interaction skills
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Some ability to work independently and comprehend issues involving little to no concrete variables in non-standard situations as well as problems that are undocumented.
  • Ability to comprehend the work flow as needed during the day or event. Requires the use of sound business judgment in following outlined instructions and requirements of the various user group(s) in the business. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and effectively present information for one-on-one and small group situations.


  • High school degree or GED is required. 
  • Technical school is preferred. 
  • Associate’s degree (AA) is preferred. 
  • Other: Military classes or equivalent training.

EXPERIENCE: 1+ years’ experience in warehouse logistics/support, asset management, pc support, or customer service related aread; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
