Digital Solutions Director

Anthem’s Digital Experience Group is looking to hire a Digital Product Strategy Director on their Member Experience Team. This high-performing individual contributor will be a true Product Strategist operating at a portfolio level, playing a key role in driving the continued evolution of how we shape and drive digital experiences at Anthem. He/she will be responsible for supporting the growth and development of constituent digital experiences and achievement of value-based target outcomes by working cross-functionally with stakeholders to develop digital product and platform strategies through our standard framework. Our Strategist will leverage expertise in healthcare and digital to support the organization’s business partners in the identification and deployment of innovative solutions to derive value from business opportunities.  

Location: This position can work remotely anywhere in the United States, ideally near an Anthem location. 

Responsible for working with business partners to evaluate digital concepts, opportunities and vendors to assess their value and how they best fit into the existing ecosystem of solutions.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with our digital platform teams and key stakeholders to execute our three-phase strategic framework - Discover, Define, Measure.
  • Responsible for gathering and assessing market requirements through competitive intelligence and emerging trends, stakeholder and consumer feedback.
  • Ability to synthesize internal and external data and intelligence (primary and secondary) to uncover trends, and ultimately develop strategies, programs and solutions that enable achievement of value-based target outcomes. 
  • Responsible for researching and evaluating new digital market concepts / solutions and determining if and how they would best fit into the existing portfolio of services.
  • Partners with select digital platform teams to develop strategic roadmaps, competitive benchmark assessments, and identify or evaluate potential solutions that could support the market offer.
  • Work with business partners and foster multidisciplinary collaboration to both create resulting business cases and ensure the deployment of solutions that engage target populations and address market needs.
  • Partner with leaders and associates in the broader enterprise digital solutions organization to align priorities and strategies.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in related field, MBA or equivalent preferred; 10 years of experience in solution strategy, digital product management and development of digital software products; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience defining a Product Strategy, defining a digital product roadmap to that strategy, envisioning outcomes and defining KPIs to measure against it strongly preferred. 
  • Proven experience with data analysis, market research, and competitive analysis to determine product strategy strongly preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare industry or an industry similar such as finance or telecom preferred.
