Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Analyst.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for providing analytical support to complete activities related to process improvement efforts, performance measurement and other initiatives related to Perioperative Services strategic areas. Works with cross organizational staff and key managers to track performance standards, service expectations, and quality indicators. Assists in creating effective data gathering instruments and developing systems to understand and document system processes. Supports key managers in analyzing resource utilization, modifying current practices, establishing new standards and tracking results. Assists in designing, developing and implementing performance systems to monitor progress.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides analytic support and report production for perioperative nursing areas. Retrieves relevant data available in various systems. Assists in creating effective data gathering instruments and develops tracking systems to understand and document system processes. Demonstrates conceptual understanding of project scopes.
  • Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Business Operations, assists in facilitating efforts of department members related to the coordination and retrieval of information.
  • Provides education and awareness in concepts and principles of data analysis and reporting.
  • Handles ad hoc data requests as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Public Health or related field. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a healthcare or related field. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel software. Experience with Tableau is preferred. The candidate must be able to learn new software/systems.
