ManTech is currently seeking experienced professionals for the Department of Defense (DOD) Cyber Crime Center (DC3) in Linthicum, MD. The focus of DC3 is to set the standards in digital and multimedia forensics, develop and deliver specialized cyber investigative training and serve as a focal point for information sharing on cybersecurity matters across the DOD.

Your Opportunity: Junior Digital Forensic Technician

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct forensic processes on a variety of digital media including hard drives, thumb drives, media cards, cell phones and other devices.
  • Create detailed notes on processes undertaken and develops forensic reports in support of counterintelligence or criminal investigations and other types of inquiries.
  • Assist the customer in developing new and innovative forensic processes and procedures. Conduct peer reviews of other examiners' reporting.
  • Also provide expert witness testimony in both military and civilian courts in support of forensic examinations conducted by the examiner.

  • Computer Hardware Engineer - Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.
  • May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.
  • Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Performs work that requires practical experience and training.
  • Work is performed under supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0-4 Years related experience
    BS/BA.  (4 years’ experience in lieu of degree is acceptable AS/AA and 2 years’ experience in lieu of degree is acceptable)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CFCE, EnCE, ACE, SANS GIAC (GCFE, GCFA, GASF), CTA DOD Certification, TCJA (TeelTech), DoD 8570/8410 IAT Level II

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance Required

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work.
