Group Description
WF Technology is going through a strategic transformation to simplify, streamline and enable technology for the future, which currently supports a portfolio of 6,000 applications. As part of these transformative changes occurring in the Enterprise – ‘Card, Retail and Merchant Services Technology’ within Consumer Lending Technology (CLT) is transforming its role, focusing on modernization and rationalization of suite of applications by designing and building reusable enterprise capabilities.

Position Overview
Card, Retail and Merchant Services Technology is seeking a Software Release Engineer with multi-year experience in the DevOps, Build, and Deploy Tools & Automation. A successful candidate would be team focused and interested in learning, implementing and automating release implementation processes and deployment tools. The candidate is required to participate in the design and creation of code migration methods that meet the needs of the development team while maintaining compliance policies adhering to Wells Fargo change management processes and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Experience supporting an enterprise-level environments
  • Create and maintain code repositories, understand release cadences
  • Manage and maintain clean development environments (ecosystems)
  • Provide guidance about promoting code/configurations across the environments
  • Work with developers strategizing branching, releases and managing individual code bases
  • Work on resolving any code/configuration “conflicts”.
  • Work with code repositories (GitHub) on checking in changes and resolving repository conflicts
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Ability to write technical how to documentation

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience
  • 4+ years of GitHub experience
  • 5+ years of Middleware experience
  • 3+ years of environment test coordination, code deployment, release management and communication experience
  • 3+ years of Java experience
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
  • 1+ year of Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) experience

Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge of Security, Compliance, Audit  &  Logging Management of Web & App layers
  • Understanding of infrastructure, firewalls, load-balancers
  • Knowledge of Private, Hybrid Cloud environment
  • Understanding of HTTP, API Calls, JSON, JSON Schema, Reverse Proxy, XML Firewall
