Asset Integrity Engineer - (Cory, Saskatchewan, Canada)

This position reports to the Chief Mill Maintenance Engineer.

What you will do:
  • Lead the Mechanical and Structural Integrity programs for the site, overseeing inspection and repair planning to meet program targets
  • Support department long-term maintenance plan and asset management goals
  • Provide support to the Tradespeople, Supervisors, Planners, Engineers, Operations and Projects teams
  • Conduct timely equipment assessments during maintenance and inspection opportunities for repair quality, fitness for service, and life expectancy evaluation
  • Maintain and develop plant design standards and specifications
  • Oversee the site CWB processes and the quality control program for Pressure equipment
  • Materials engineering support including material selection to address degradation issues such as corrosion, cracking, erosion and others
  • Support management of change (MOC) program
  • Oversee equipment retirement planning
What you will bring:
  • Mechanical Engineering or Civil (Structural) Engineering Degree
  • P. Eng. designation
  • 6-8 years engineering experience
  • Knowledge & training in API and ASME codes and standards
  • Exposure to pressure vessel, piping codes, heat exchangers, pumps, bins, tanks and NDT inspection techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to relate with people at all levels within the company
  • Ability to handle a large and varied workload. Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • High level of problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Training in RBI, RCM, fitness for service assessments will be considered an asset
