We are looking for you to join our team as a Computer Systems Architect based out of San Diego, CA. As a Computer Systems Architect at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You’ll get to Do:

- Ensuring workstation and/or server data integrity through evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions

- Supporting media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services

- Developing and promoting standard operating procedures

The Computer systems architect is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computing platforms (workstations and servers, to include web servers), storage solutions, and enterprise management solutions in support of business processing requirements. The successful candidate will perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages, schedule installations and upgrades, and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.

The Computer systems architect will work with developer tools such as XML Spy, ACE, Beyond Compare, ClearCase, ClearQuest, ClearTeam, Hex Workshop, IP*Works, MSDN, MS Office, Visual Studio 2010, Resharper, Java JDK, Eclipse, OpenFire, Spark, Maven, and others. Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills are a must, as the incumbent has frequent interaction with internal and external customers. The Computer systems architect will monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels, and ensure data/ media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.

This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the requirements below.

This position may be filled as a Computer or Principal Computer Systems Architect.

Basic Qualifications for Computer Systems Architect:

- Bachelor’s Degree within a related field with 2 years of systems administration

Basic Qualifications for Principal Computer Systems Architect:

- Bachelor’s Degree within a related field with 5 years of systems administration experience

Basic Qualification for Computer and Principal Computer Systems Architect:

- Active Secret clearance

- Understanding of Layer 2/3 Networking and interfaces with COTS Infrastructure needs to develop and assist with an enterprise level network

- Expertise in design, troubleshooting, and automation of the following COTS technologies including quality checking work products from the team

- VMware vSphere ESXi and vCenter or related

- Microsoft Windows 10 and Server 2016

- RHEL7, SNARE, Nagios or related

- Network Attached Storage o Microsoft SQL Server, McAfee ePO or related

- Application of STIGs including automation

- Expertise in planning, troubleshooting, and quality checking of the following scripting languages including quality checking work products from the team

- Experience with Powershell, Python, Bash or related programs

- Familiarity with Atlassian toolset Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence and managing a 6-7 member team with toolset, or related.

- Expertise with Git and Git-LFS - Must be willing to travel between 30% to 40%

Preferred Qualifications:

- Active Top Secret Clearance

- Knowledge of Aviation Logistics

- Knowledge of Aviation maintenance schedules and flight operations

- Experience with Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance systems

- Experience with 3-Tiered Architecture

- Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers
