This is a 40 hour 3 year grant funded social work role providing trauma informed care through a Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) approach and its adaptation for refugees (TST-R), targeting primarily underserved populations. Services will be provided at both of Boston Children’s Hospital’s primary care sites (Children’s Hospital Primary Care Center at Longwood and Martha Eliot Health Center in Jamaica Plain). This position will also work collaboratively with a Patient Navigator to provide comprehensive culturally responsive mental health services and advocacy to parents and their youth identified as impacted trauma. Opportunities to assist with program development and research. 

This Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams on psychosocial, financial, and medical needs of diverse families. 
  • Providing assessment and treatment; advocacy; case management; and on-call consultation to providers. 

To qualify, you must have:
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, and an LICSW in the state of MA
  • Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced environment essential
  • Excellent communication skills necessary
  • Experience with adolescents, families and children is highly preferred
  • Language capability in Spanish essential; with comprehensive understanding of target population (Dominican) preferred
