The Benefits Coordinator will support Benefits (FMLA/STD/AD&D, etc.) support for IBPM Vanguard account and other areas in HR like reporting induction etc. based on bandwidth and volumes in the FMLA/etc. areas.
  • Partners closely with all HR business partners and ER on all leave cases and workers’ compensation claims.
  • Meets regularly with ER and HRBPs to review claims’ status
  • Manages FMLA/STD/LTD/ML/AD&D requests, queries and provides necessary information on claim and leave application process
  • Works closely with associates to ensure that all relevant completed medical documentation is submitted for timely review. Maintains appropriate contact with all associates on leave and coordinates all aspects of return to work for associates on leave.
  • Assists in the creation and facilitation of leave administration and workers’ compensation training programs
  • Works closely with HRBPs to advise for payroll / return to work / extension etc. for FMLA/STD/ML/LTD leave cases
  • Ensures that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed.
  • Produces and manages reporting metrics and analytics for all leave cases and workers’ compensation claims. Presents reports as requested.
  • Supports induction and onboarding activities
  • Manages other reporting requirements and support HR programs as assigned
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications

Basic
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the job description.
Preferred
  • Working experience in a HR Generalist – HR role including experience with Benefits (FMLA/STD/AD&D, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and manage small projects – requires critical thinking, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be flexible and adapt to changing needs
  • Possess a sound understanding of employment laws and FLSA wage and hour regulations
  • Ability to work with numbers, presentations, analysis, MS Excel formulae and the Office 365 suite of applications
