Acts as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.

This position will be a lead engineer role that will help drive software design/development for all applications in the Image Capture software stack.  This position will act as a technical resource in software development design and coding, testing, and implementation.  The Image Capture department is responsible for facilitating the import, recognition, data extraction, and export of all documents that are sent to the Capture platform.  Documents are sent in through many channels including fax, email, electronic file drops, MFD scanning, and physical paper.  The Image Capture system uses the Kofax suite of applications for its primary software and utilizes .NET services, dll's, and windows applications to facilitate add-on services as well.  The Image Capture team handles roughly 50M-60M images per month for all major lines of business inside Wells Fargo.

Main Job Responsibilities for the Image Capture Platform include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain medium to large complex applications for the enterprise Capture platform.
  • Perform and document code reviews for all code that is implemented into a production environment.
  • Perform secure coding processes and procedures to ensure all code delivered to production is safe and secure using Fortify to scan .NET code, BlackDuck to scan third-party dll's, and SD Elements for tracking.
  • Ensure testing is completed and successful for code and deliverables being deployed to production.
  • Create, maintain, and administer all software development life-cycle documentation including Technical/Business requirements, functional design, implementation plans, and code reviews.
  • Resolve key and complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of performance testing all production code in an SPL environment.
  • Assist in the BCP failover testing process.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 7+ years of .net experience
  • 5+ years of Oracle experience
  • 5+ years of PL/SQL experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools
  • 5+ years of application development experience
  • 3+ years of technical documentation and publication experience
  • 3+ years of static code review experience
  • 3+ years of MS Visual Studio experience

Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical design: ECM system design, implementation, and support at an enterprise level
  • Knowledge and understanding of Fortify Code Analyzer
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile
  • Knowledge and understanding of PAC2000
  • Experience with automation, regression, and performance testing

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Kofax Capture suite of products including Kofax Capture, KTM, KCNS, KAFC, etc. 
  • Filenet or similar
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations

  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
