The Boeing Company is seeking a STE Cyber Security Network Specialist for the BT&E Space Systems Test organization in El Segundo, CA.

Responsible for the hardening, deployment, setup, and readiness of network for Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Scan for vulnerabilities, implement mitigations, install, administer, and troubleshoot on the following operating systems
  • Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 7, and Microsoft Windows 10
  • Multiple Linux (RedHat and Oracle)
  • Oracle Solaris (UNIX)

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 8570 Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • NFS and CIFS network data, SAMBA
  • Active Directory, LDAP, Firewalls
  • RAID storage
  • Backup methodologies, disaster recovery
  • HTTP/HTTPS (typically Apache and IIS)
  • High level DBA skills (install, start, stop, etc): SQL Server and MySQL
  • Basic familiarity with HP/Agilent, etc. instruments and the ability to set up communications (Ethernet and GPIB)
  • Programming skills UNIX/Linux shell scripts (C, Bourne, BASH)
  • Programming skills Python script language

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) any typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.


This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
