**Product Validation Engineer - Technical Specialist**

**Description**

We are looking for a talented **Product Systems Validation Engineer** to join our team specializing in **Engineering** for our **Power Systems Business Unit in Columbus, IN** .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

+ Develops product systems validation plans from a variety of inputs to identify failure modes, while managing product risk and relative

+ Solves product problems using a process that protects the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; and identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.

+ Compares analytical and experimental results and resolves differences to maintain calibrated analytical models; generates experimental testing plans that deliver optimal analysis and test coverage.

+ Mitigates potential product failure modes, by identifying interfaces, functions, functional requirements, interactions, control factors, noise factors, and prioritized potential failure modes and potential failure causes for the system of interest

+ Uses appropriate methods and tools to translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements to which designs are developed; establishes acceptance criteria for the system of interest through analysis, allocation and negotiation

+ Identifies and analyzes the interfaces and interactions across system boundaries by specifying the requirements and limits to ensure that the product meets requirements

**Qualifications**

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

+ BS degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline area

+ 5 years of prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience

+ Prior experience with exhaust manifolds, turbochargers, or intake components, system and component ownership for validation of air handling components

+ Experience with management of requirements and DVP&R in Integrity

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
