This is an exciting opportunity for the candidate to work within the R&D engineering team and will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and documentation of next generation medical devices. This will include but not limited to:  collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and work in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced startup environment

 

Job Duties:

  • Lead systems engineering related activities on a new product development program
  • Provide guidance and technical oversight while role modeling a highly motivated
  • Ability to define electrical architectures and tasks necessary for a successful product commercialization.
  • Responsible for the electrical design of instrumentation circuits for medical devices.
  • Digital responsibility in digital, microprocessor, FPGA, CPLD and related peripheral devices. 
  • Direct design contribution, schematic capture, VHDL Designs collaboration with PCB design personnel, documentation, analysis, troubleshooting and integration of the resultant designs
  • Design medical instrumentation electronics
  • Prepare requirements, validation, WCA and other documents
  • Develop detailed electrical designs
  • Participate in cross-functional design team meetings
  • Provide mentorship for junior engineers
  • This position is responsible for detailed electrical design and technical acumen
  • Recommends and implements design and development practices

 

Background Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years expertise in board level circuit design,  wireless communication and battery design experience for hand-held instruments is preferred 
  • Experience in physiological sensing applications.
  • Matlab, ROS, Python, or C++ development skills, including software design/architecture and hardware integration
  • Be responsible for electronics, sensor and system design for powered products.
  • Be responsible for schematic and PCB layout
  • Experience with modern microprocessor architecture and related technologies and algorithms.
