Summary:

The Director of HR Technology & Analytics is accountable development and execution of a divisional technology and data strategy and roadmap that supports our larger people services and enterprise business strategies. Accountable to build technology that enables the digital employee experience for the enterprise. The leader will deliver technology that enables timely, relevant, and accurate information in management of their People, Benefits, Compensation, Engagement, Recruiting and Retention. Serves as the business owner for the organization's human resource information systems software (HRIS). Accountable for overseeing HRIS and data teams, which may be run as a sub-department that crosses both the information technology and human resource departments. Responsible for the development of a clear strategy, positioning and execution of priorities and will be comfortable thinking big and diving deep. Accountable for the identification of opportunities and leading the team to translate them into workable, scalable technology solutions. Resolves complex challenges, working with engineering, product, and other stakeholders across divisions.

  • Provides leadership to managers and professional staff.
  • Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams.
  • Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities.
  • Decisions are guided by resource availability and organizational objectives.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Develops and executes a divisional data and technology strategy and roadmap aligning system and data needs with the holistic enterprise strategy.
  • Oversees the planning, selection, implementation, and maintenance of technologies, processes, and systems to support the division.
  • Directs the development, definition and reporting of key performance indicators to deliver analytics that aid in the development of improvement strategies.
  • Oversees the development of dashboards, financial models, and advanced statistical models. Works with business partners to identify and scope new opportunities for reporting, financial and statistical analysis applications to evaluate business performance and to support business decisions.
  • Consults and collaborates with enterprise and functional clients to identify HR system needs, quantifies requirements, and recommends hardware, software or data management options and strategies.
  • Establish, monitor, and enhance service delivery standards to ensure agreed upon standards are consistently met or exceeded.Resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
  • Oversee maintenance and accuracy of employee data for analysis, regulatory compliance, reporting and distribution.
  • Monitor federal and state regulatory changes and their impact to HR systems.Work closely with other leaders to ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting.
  • Accountable for the management of relationships between HRIS vendors and the organization.
  • Develop and sustain appropriate controls to maintain and report on information.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of end user training and product enhancements.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams of world-class software and data engineers and be able to make the right design decisions and technology choices. Extensive knowledge of the latest cloud-based technology.
  • Extensive experience object-oriented design, and agile development methodologies.
  • Extensive experience managing and effectively operating a complex system that is highly reliable and scalable.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high quality technology products/services in a very high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly.
  • Expert in building and developing high performance teams that work on both front and back end technology challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a variety of HR systems used to deliver, support, manage and maintain HRIS.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of HR systems, reporting, data, and future trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating business implications of complex data relationships and results of statistical models to multiple business partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large complex projects related to analytics.
  • Demonstrated strong experience with statistical and modeling software tools.

Travel Requirements
  • This position requires travel up to 15% of the time.
