Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a System Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA. The selected candidate will develop and implement data processing and visualization products supporting various Aerospace systems programs.

Essential Functions:

Support multiple business areas and programs by developing visibility reports and tools

Analyze/Interpret data and convert to meaningful information for the business

Explore/Develop new technologies or approaches to data analysis and interpretation

Create ad hoc reports based on unique business needs

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.  Candidate must be comfortable in an open working environment and be able to collaborate closely with software engineers, data engineers, and data scientist.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of data analytics or data engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM and 3 years of data analytics or data engineering experience

2 years’ experience writing and managing queries in SQL and Oracle databases

2 years’ experience writing and running SSIS packages and/or stored procedures using Visual Studio

Familiarity with Tableau

2 years’ experience in the use of MS office suite

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and special program access (PAR)

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiar with developing software in an Agile environment

Experience with modern web development stack (e.g. ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript frameworks, HTML/CSS)

Experience developing APIs for web applications (Django)

Experience with version control tools like Git

Current and active DoD Secret clearance

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
