ManTech is currently seeking an Oracle DBA to support our operations in Virginia Beach. This position requires an active DoD SECRET security clearance. 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs database design and implementation.
  • Solve complex integration and technical problems in a highly available, dynamic fast-paced enterprise environment
  • Provide technical Support for chartered Projects, e.g. Security Remediation, Disaster Recovery
  • Provide installation, configuration, upgrade, and migration services for all database servers.
  • Coordinate the data administration technical function for database development and maintenance.
  • Facilitate change control, problem management, and communication among data architects, programmers, analysts, and engineers.
  • Analyze and identifies data and metadata requirements.
  • Define user requirements and database design specifications.
  • Prepares/implements data verification and testing methods for the databases.
  • Provide administrative support specifically dedicated to the requirements of the project team.
  • Perform data entry, queries data research and reports generation activities.
  • Monitor database usage and statistics
  • Recommend and Implement database changes to improve performance and security
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard databases
  • Research and create documentation for FISMA/STIG findings and waiver requests
  • Design and configure interfaces with other systems
  • Configure and maintain system databases, user databases, server instances, schema, tables, views, functions, triggers and indexes
  • Assist Windows System Administrators with basic Windows Disk Management
  • Create and update Configuration Item documentation, Standard Operating Procedures and Installation/Upgrade Guides

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience designing, developing, testing, documenting, deploying, implementing and tuning Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Languages code.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Information Technology and database administration.
  • Knowledge of relational database environment. the implementation of changes or new database designs.
  • Experience creating databases from design models and building physical environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making
  • Experience in Customer Service
  • Requires skill with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Extensive experience with data migration and data loads, often from non-Oracle sources.
  • Knowledge of Real Applications Clusters, Data Guard, Flashback technology, Recovery Manager, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be an US citizen
  • An active DOD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain agency suitability

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Must be 8570 IAT level II compliant
  • Certification in Oracle 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT, engineering, or
  • 5-7+ years IT experience
