A Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled associate within our Timonium, MD manufacturing facility and our Baltimore Distribution Center (BDC). Associate in this role possess skills to keep the manufacturing machines in good working order and in compliance with a focus on Environmental Health, Safety (EHS) and quality in all maintenance activities

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Read and understand the maintenance manuals for all machines and all areas for all facilities
  • Conduct Daily 5S activities and performs standard work
  • Repair various types of equipment or machinery breakdowns, while at the same time possessing the ability to modify or recommend modifications to reduce or eliminate these same breakdowns
  • Can perform general welding (repair and modification work)
  • Investigate and solve problems through the root cause analysis (RCA) or through Problem Solving Process (PSP)
  • Demonstrated fabrication and machining skills, including being knowledgeable and able to work on pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping systems
  • Install, maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Read and can draw technical diagrams and blueprints
  • Perform general electrical maintenance with oversight by a qualified electrician
  • Responsible for the mechanical preventive maintenance
  • Good knowledge of various test equipment
  • Has a clear understanding of Kanban
  • Process oriented with desire and ability to participate in Kaizen / process improvement events
  • Follow quality standards for all equipment within maintenance facilities
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining maintenance part inventories
  • Thoroughly completes an hourly scorecard
  • Ensure safe work conditions and identifies/improves environmental health and safety
  • Ability to create and close out work orders within an automated maintenance management system
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push and pull for long periods of time.
  • Able to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.
  • Must have minimum of two (2) years maintenance and/or electrical experience.
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Mechanical/Electrical trade school degree (preferred/not required))
  • Microsoft / PC experience
