The Spectrum Rep Community Solutions Inbound Sales role is a sales position that requires the evaluation and discussion of the features and benefits of our products and services to upgrade new, existing, and former customers. This role will focus on establishing rapport and building value on the appropriate solution by educating our customers. Ensure customers get the best value by selling multiple customer service options, including but not limited to cable, internet, home phone and mobile.

  • Effectively sell Charter products and services to new and existing customers
  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals
  • Develop customer-centric solutions highlighting product benefits and ensuring customers purchase the best combination of products to meet their individual needs
  • Act as a product consultant when promoting, recommending and selling the value of Spectrum SCS products and services
  • Assess needs based on unique customer types and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, professionalism and courtesy
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customers purchasing experience
  • Responsible for creating and developing long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Responsible for taking retention calls and retaining customers and their services
  • Take overflow billing calls and respond and resolve customers billing questions and concerns
  • Consistently provide excellent customer service and meets required customer service performance metrics

Maintain knowledge of all customer campaigns/pricing

Understand and explain to customers all products and services
Answer all customer product and service questions
Perform other duties as requested.

  • One year of sales experience preferably selling Voice, Data, and Video solutions or six months internal experience as a Billing agent with demonstrated success at meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to apply appropriate sales techniques and demonstrate sustained achievement of stated sales goals
  • Ability to conduct a needs analysis (consultative approach), overcome objections, develop a strong sales pitch and effectively close sales
  • Ability to show proper judgement and initiative
  • Strong working knowledge of cable communications products and services to include video (TV), data (internet), voice (telephone) and mobile
  • Familiarity with billing systems
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Problem solver, likes challenges, goal oriented, ambitious, determined and self-confident
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, professional manner
  • Multitask effectively

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Related Work Experience
Customer service/call center - 1 year experience
1 year sales experience (or 3 mos demonstrated sales success in a Spectrum position)

Office environment
Variable hours; may include weekends, holidays, and split days off
