The Role

The Trade Compliance Specialist will support Entegris Trade Compliance Program by coordinating import and export compliance activities, performing audits, training and record keeping, and by providing guidance and recommendations to compliance related issue to mitigate risks. This position is located in Shanghai, China and reports to the ASJ Trade Compliance Manager in Shanghai.
In this role you will
  • Support to ensure daily import and export operations or activities are executed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and requirements (especially the US and PRC export control requirements)
  • Work with local logistics team to assist in overseeing daily import/export operations and ensure compliance.
  • Screening of customer to ensure legitimate end user and end use.
  • Evaluate products for PRC export control requirements. Support license management including license applications, MOFCOM EUC application, license tracking and record keeping.
  • Determine and maintain tariff classification (HS Code) and ECCN in SAP, drive process improvements to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor and review/release GTS blocks for Asia.
  • Monitor and evaluate imports that can be qualified for FTA duties exemption.
  • Respond to ad hoc trade compliance related requests and issues, and develop, implement, and maintain a standard procedure to ensure future compliance.
  • Stay up to date on regulation developments, understands the regulatory requirements and assess the actions/changes required to keep compliance.
  • Manage and improve company CP (Compliance Program) by conducting compliance trainings, conducting internal audit, maintaining essential record keeping, and other compliance related activities.
  • Facilitate external audit when required.
Support other projects as required and assigned.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate
  • Minimum 5 years progressive working experience in export compliance, semiconductor industry is preferred; knowledge of PRC import & export control regulations, export licensing and trade compliance management.
  • FTA experience is helpful.
  • Strong SAP & GTS experience
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to cope with multiple priorities.
  • Must be proficient in the local language and English. Solid presentation, communications and influencing skills, able to work with other countries and cultures.
  • Ability to travel globally.
