What You Will Do....

Responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies for a portfolio of JCI brands or product pod, leveraging central resources for branding, creative, social media and data analytics.

The VP of Marketing is a senior member of the JCI Marketing team and will serve on the Marketing Executive Team. They are responsible for overseeing, developing, and employing various marketing initiatives and branding efforts to achieve our long- and short-term organizational goals. This individual should have a successful track record of establishing and leading marketing strategy and implementing effective tactics in a dynamic environment.

In this capacity, the ideal candidate has significant expertise crafting sales-driving marketing campaigns with the ability to execute scalable and measurable strategies that drive impactful results. The person in this role will develop and oversee the delivery of a fully integrated marketing plan for the business and be responsible for the prioritization, planning, and execution of marketing initiatives on the local, regional, and corporate levels. They will have a key influence on the global marketing plan and can develop progressive solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer with dual reporting into the business leader to create and lead a global marketing strategy to enhance organizational performance.

How You Will Do It....

  • Build, manage and execute a pod’s global marketing plan, campaign, and budget for optimal performance and results on a global scale.
  • Adapt campaign planning and measurement benchmarks within the Marketing team.
  • Lead customer-centric thinking and craft programs to meet those target markets.
  • Craft messaging and positioning in the market; conduct ongoing competitive and market research and analysis to continue refining our value proposition, leveraging the central team.
  • Partner with Central Marketing and other partners (HR, IT, Procurement) to drive implementation of global marketing transformation including digital marketing and creative Center of Excellence, marketing technology and global talent agenda.
  • Build, further develop, and leverage relationships with industry media to evangelize the JCI brand, mission, and movement in the market.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to plan, create, and launch creative campaigns and compelling stories around JCI announcements and initiatives that resonate with audiences.
  • Establish goals and metrics for meeting marketing deliverables; work with marketing team to establish team and individual goals and metrics.
  • Be an effective leader and ensure all marketing programs are successful, metrics-driven, and goal-oriented.
  • Create and oversee a calendar of events such as webinars, conferences and thought leadership contributions.
  • Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary.
  • Provide tools and materials to enable the sales team to function effectively and be the day-to-day conduit between Sales and Marketing team to align efforts and drive the marketing efforts in support of sales goals.
  • Drive the organization’s social media campaign implementation across product pod.
  • Manage and measure marketing campaign costs and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs.
  • Utilize data for marketing campaigns, interrogating the organization’s databases and external data.
  • Develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns across multiple platforms providing specific channel planning.
  • Spearhead efforts to increase JCI visibility and website success in brand goals and lead generation.
  • Use research to develop, implement, and measure strategies.

  • A minimum of twelve years’ experience in Marketing or a related role.
  • Deep understanding of the sales and marketing funnel, lead management.
  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles in a fast-paced organization.
  • Marketing mindset with ability to translate marketing tactics to achieve sales goals and prove ROI of marketing efforts.
  • In-depth knowledge of market research.
  • Experience managing a departmental budget.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with digital marketing tools, and related software
