ManTech is seeking a dynamic, innovative Cyber Security Manager / Project Manager to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). You will be based out of our Raleigh, NC location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the technical expert and operations manager for the EPA’s enterprise cyber- SOC

  • Manage the security operations team in providing 24x7x365 incident management and response activities as required in the contract and providing leadership in carrying out the CISO’s strategic vision, providing technical guidance, building and maintaining customer relationships, and managing and overseeing day-to-day operations of the SOC

  • Responsible for creating compliance reports, supporting the audit process, measuring SOC performance metrics, and reporting on security operations to the government

Required Qualifications:

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Any of the following current certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

  • Leadership experience managing a security operations team, providing technical guidance, building and maintaining customer relationships, and managing and overseeing day-to-day operations of a SOC

  • A minimum of (5) five years of experience managing a cyber SOC (or similar cybersecurity team) within a complex environment

  • A minimum of (3) three years of hands-on experience utilizing a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system

  • Experience supporting the Environment Protection Agency (EPA)

Desired Qualifications:

  • A minimum of (3) three years of experience developing, documenting, and implementing processes to comply with NIST 800-61

  • Demonstrated experience recommending, designing, documenting, implementing, and/or managing an enterprise network security architecture

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
