Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks to fill the position of Sr. Principle Network Engineer with an individual with primary experience engineering and administering Cisco networks. Specifically Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices utilizing static and dynamic routing as well as virtual Interfaces within a mixed environment of Red Hat Linux (RHEL) and Windows based Systems. Experience in automation, scripting, system administration, Cyber Patching and automation, STIG RMF/POA&M compliance, tools development, and computing systems integration would be a plus in support the IBCS Program. This position includes disciplines involving network infrastructure, scripting and tools development, Cyber planning and implementation, automation, information assurance (IA)/security, operating system customization, and virtualization. Day to day duties include network engineering and maintaining CISCO networks and associated infrastructure in support of systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows to include implementing Cyber requirements via STIG automation and scripts, integration of GOTS/COTS products with IAMD IBCS systems, assisting with integrating tactical products within a test lab environment, helping to maintain the information assurance posture of the system, and formulating innovative solutions to problems as they arise. Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, configure, integrate, install and test network systems primarily consisting of Cisco devices

• Develop detailed designs with supporting implementation, test and transition plans

• Develop and maintain documentation supporting the Product through development, integration, deployment and delivery to the customer/operator

• Work within and across teams to support and coordinate daily integration activities

• Execute root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network system issues

• Work with vendor support for hardware issues • Approximately 10% travel will be required for this position including supporting product installation and checkout at operational and test locations. This position will include the duties of Scrum Master for a team of network engineers. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Guide and coach a Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products

• Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines

• Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Program Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, and Sprint Retrospective.

• Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization

• Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of IT experience; or a Master's and 7 years; 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree

• Strong experience engineering or administering Cisco networks

• Strong understanding of or experience with Network Design and Architecture

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Current Security certification (e.g. Security+ CE or CISSP)

• Strong problem solving skills

• Current Secret security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating within a DevSecOps and Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration culture

• Experience or Strong knowledge of operating within a DevSecOps and Continuous Deliver/Continuous Integration culture

• Experience or Strong knowledge of operating within an AGILE development environment and culture

• 5+ years within Cisco networks. Specifically Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices utilizing static and dynamic routing as well as virtual Interfaces

• CCNA/CCNP/CCNE/CCDP Certified

• SAFE Agile Scrum Master Certification

• Experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment

• Experience or Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code, preferably utilizing Ansible, Docker, and Jenkins

• Experience or Strong knowledge of integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
