The EEG Technologist will be responsible for:
  • Performing both outpatient and inpatient studies in the Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
  • Working in close collaboration and partnership with physicians, nursing staff, and other health care professionals.   
  • Utilizing video audio and telemetry equipment and knowledge of computers related to Electroneurodiagnostics.
  • Utilizing appropriate actions to take during emergency situations and insuring patient safety at all times.
  • Working knowledge of basic infection controls standards relating to patient and equipment, including electrodes.
To qualify, you must have...
  • A High School diploma and one year of previous clinical EEG experience.
  • Graduated from an electroneurodiagnostic technology training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education programs or equivalent formal training.
  • Registered or board eligible through the American Board of Registration of EEG and EP Technologists, Inc. (ABRET) is preferred.
  • A current CPR certification.
  • Previous experience with evoked potentials, ambulatory EEG, or invasive epilepsy monitoring is preferred.
Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.
