Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking an SCA Engineering Technician 4 to join our team at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland.

Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of Quality Assurance, Data collection and technical support services for BAMS-D program on Global Hawk RQ-4A Air Vehicle and ground control stations

Reviews, inspects, and approves aircraft / ground control station maintenance in Agile database

Maintains and updates aircraft records, scheduled maintenance inspections

Assembles aircraft flight folders and Configuration Summary and Flight Release (CSFR) to ensure all documents are properly updated and brief summaries are delivered to air vehicle operators

Performs weekly monitors, Ground Operating Procedure audits and Safety audits

Submits and tracks engineering request

Becomes fuel cell Entrant Authority for confined space qualified / RQ-4A weight and balance qualified

Expert in Tool Control and FOD elimination programs

Maintains, tracks, and updates all technical manuals, publications, instructions and digital media

Assists Maintenance Manager and Leads as required

Ensures all maintenance and processes are in accordance with Northrop Grumman site Ground Operating Procedures, DCMA INST 8210.1C and Technical Orders

Experience in Microsoft Office and databases

Deploys overseas up to 50% of the year

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of quality assurance and/or aviation maintenance experience

Will also consider:

Associate’s degree or technical diploma in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of quality assurance and/or aviation maintenance experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of quality assurance and/or aviation maintenance experience

Master’s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of quality assurance and/or aviation maintenance experience

Must be able to work on-site at NAS Pax River in Maryland

Must be able to travel OCONUS as needed (up to 50% of the time)

Must be able to work multiple shifts as needed

Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

RQ-4A Global Hawk UAS experience, Agile Data Base, Weight and Balance

Experience in Team Center and Principles and Operating Practices (PrOP)

SCA hourly rate: $35.64; H&W as specified in the applicable wage determination

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
